Cassie Zhang

New York-based Cassie Zhang is equally adept at fashion, portrait, and fine-art photography. Her background also includes extensive editorial experience, including photography for tattooing’s Inked Magazine, where she produced the publication’s YouTube videos as well, and cooking’s Baked Magazine. Among Zhang’s mentors are well-known dance photographer Lois Greenfield, who she assisted, and famed editorial portraitist Gregory Heisler, from whom she learned her lighting technique as his student. The photographer’s skills were recently enhanced by the master’s in digital photography she earned from New York’s School of Visual Arts. In that intensive program, Zhang was able to concentrate on her fine-art work, producing a series of highly abstract images that use brilliant color and suggestions of natural forms to represent the changing of seasons.
